4th of July celebration

Homestead Air Reserve Base will host a free 4th of July celebration in front of the Heritage Hall Conference Center, building 404, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The free celebration features a fireworks show (scheduled for 8:30 p.m.), live music, amusement rides, and food and beverages available for purchase. The celebration is open to all Department of Defense identification card holders, as well as their families and guests. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen and bug spray. UFC Fit Tour

On Monday Jun 23, the base and the Air force Reserve Command will host the 2014 UFC Fit Tour at the Sam Johnson Fitness Center. Come out and meet 2013 Mixed Martial Art's Trainer of the Year Mike Dolce and Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Robbie Lawler as they put on a fitness workshop from 5-6 p.m. and then a Meet and Greet from 6-8 p.m. This is open to all DOD ID card holders.
