Fire in the hole! Explosive training readies reservists for deployment
Staff Sgt. Jason Cohen, 482nd Civil Engineering Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal team member, used a compact metal detector to detect various indications of the presence of an improvised explosive device and marked off areas around the ordnance. This training was done to prepare EOD Airmen for deployments by giving them hands-on experience dealing with IEDs when robotic means aren't feasible.
