Homestead pays tribute to Air Force birthday with youngest Airman

Nineteen-year-old Airman 1st Class Jordan Pare, a member of the 70th Aerial Port Squadron and Homestead Air Reserve Base’s youngest available Airman and Col. Michael Hernandez, 482nd Fighter Wing vice commander, pose for a photo while Pare cuts the first slice of cake at the Community Activity Center at Homestead ARB, Fla., 7 Sept. In order to continue a strong Heritage and to celebrate the Air Force's 67th birthday, which is 18 Sept., the Wing tracked down the youngest available Airman currently on Homestead ARB to cut and receive the first slice of birthday cake.
