Homestead members participate in Truck Day

U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st Class Drew Kendall, administrative non-commissioned officer for Maritime Safety and Security Team Miami at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., talks to students at Air Base K-8 Center in Homestead, Fla., about being in the Coast Guard on Jan. 31. Students explored the different gear and got to climb in the 25-Foot Response Boat, Small Class that was brought out and used as a static display. Truck Day is a way for the school to teach children about different careers available to them when they leave school so they can start thinking about what they want to do when they grow up.
