Homestead Defenders return from 6-month deployment to Iraq
The view 36 Defenders from the 482nd Security Forces Squadron saw as they returned home to a hero’s welcome at Miami International Airport Wednesday evening after completing a six-month deployment to Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq. The reservists maintained a safe and secure environment for thousands of U.S., Coalition and Iraqi troops, U.S. State Department Provisional Reconstruction Teams, and civilian contractors housed and operating from the base.
