Famed World War II veteran visits Homestead
Retired Lt. Col. Eldridge Williams, an original member of the famed Tuskegee Airmen speaks to the Greater Florida City/Homestead Military Affairs Committee Oct. 2. Colonel Williams was the key note speaker at the monthly MAC luncheon held at the Falcon’s Nest Club. The Tuskegee Airmen was the popular name of a group of African American pilots who flew with distinction during World War II as the 332nd Fighter Group of the U.S. Army Air Corps.
