Homestead ARB to hold base-wide exercise March 8-11

Dressed in his protective ground crew chemical ensemble, Tech. Sgt. Juan Tejera, 482nd Maintenance Squadron, keeps track of team members conducting post-attack inspections during Operation Deliberate Tropic, Homestead Air Reserve Base, March 10, 2008. The Operational Readiness Exercise is a self-assessment of the wing’s ability to perform in a simulated combat environment. Explosive devices, smoke grenades and sirens will be used during the exercise to create realistic scenarios that reservists will encounter during the exercise. “Homestead Air Reserve Base goes to great lengths to ensure safety procedures are established and followed during exercises to prepare our reservists for deployment,” said Mr. Sean Quinn, 482nd Mission Support Group Emergency Management Office.
