Miami Scouts tour base
Homestead ARB fire fighter, Mr. Jeffery Curl, 482nd Civil Engineering Squadron, demonstrates how a thermal imagining camera is used to kids and chaperones from Boy and Girl Scout Troop 599 on Dec. 30. The Miami Scouts were treated to a tour of the base fire department and air traffic control tower; watched four F-16 fighter jets take-off; and then ate lunch at the Falcons Nest Club. Homestead ARB offers two tours a month. Groups interested in touring the base should contact the 482nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs Office at least 60 days in advance. The PA office can be reached at (305) 224-7330. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tim Norton)
