40 years of service

During a brief ceremony in recognition of 40 years of service to the U.S. government, Colonel Melvin Giddings, 482nd Maintenance Group commander, presents Mr. Thomas Miller, 482nd Maintenance Squadron, a Certificate of Service on Jan. 15. Mr. Miller entered the Air Force on active duty in 1963 as an instruments and auto pilot specialist stationed at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. After tours of duty in Vietnam and Taiwan, Miller came to Homestead AFB in 1974 as an Air Force Reservist working on C-121 transport aircraft. In later years, he worked on instrumentation and avionic systems of F-4 and F-16 fighter jets. Mr. Miller currently works in the 482nd Avionics Flight coordinating calibration and repair of all precession measurement and test equipment. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tim Norton)
