Life Support trains pilots to survive under any condition
HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- Master Sgt. Jay Colon (right) and Airman 1st Class Kristina Hewett (center), 93rd Fighter Squadron Life Support technicians, teach 93rd FS pilots how to build and maintain fires in an isolated environment during Combat & Water Survival training on April 12-13. Life Support personnel and a Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) instructor also taught lessons on water survival, electronic and visual signaling, building shelter, personal protection, food and water procurement, and camouflage, evasion and navigation.
