Civic Leaders take off to tour Keesler AFB and Lackland AFB
HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- Thirty nine influential leaders from the Miami area boarded a KC-135 Stratotanker for a two-day “Civic Leader Flight” to Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., and Lackland AFB, Texas, on Feb. 12. The group witnessed Mako fighter pilots flying up to the KC-135 for an aerial refueling training mission on their way to Mississippi. While at Keesler, the tour will receive tours of the famed Hurricane Hunter aircraft and crews. On Friday, the civic leaders will be flown to Lackland AFB to see a Basic Military Training graduation parade, tour a C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft, and fly back home to Homestead.
