Civic leader tour
Thirty five civic leaders along with Col. William Binger, 482nd Fighter Wing commander, and aircrew members pause for a group picture inside a C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft during a civic leader tour on Feb 13. The influential leaders from the Miami area boarded a KC-135 Stratotanker for a two-day “Civic Leader Flight” to Keesler AFB, Miss., and Lackland AFB, Texas, on Feb. 12-13. The group witnessed F-16’s from the 93rd Fighter Squadron flying up to the KC-135 for an aerial refueling training mission on their way to Mississippi. While at Keesler, the group received briefings and tours of the famed Hurricane Hunter aircraft. On Friday, the civic leaders viewed a Basic Military Training graduation parade and toured a C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft and simulator facility. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tim Norton)
