Commander tapped for a star
HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- Col. William B. Binger, 482nd Fighter Wing commander, has been selected for promotion to the rank of Brigadier General. As wing commander, he is directly responsible for overall management of Homestead ARB and 25 F-16 fighter jets. His leadership span of control encompasses over 1,600 members and 325 full-time civilians. He is also a command pilot with more than 4,400 hours in the F-16, including 40 combat missions over Iraq.
