Sroptimist sends packages to the troops
Members of Soroptimist International, Homestead, Fla., prepare to ship care packages to the 482nd Security Forces Squadron reservists currently deployed to Kirkuk Air Base, Iraq, on May 26. Over $1,600 was raised from various fundraisers to purchase items for each package. Contents include: books, CDs, snacks, clothing, and other specific items requested by the Airmen. Each package also includes a personal letter from club members expressing their appreciation for protecting our freedom. With over 90,000 members in 120 countries, Soroptimist is a service organization for executive and professional women providing volunteer services to their communities.
