Aerial Porters receive advanced training on C-17 static trainer

HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. – 70th Aerial Port Squadron personnel offload a Humvee from a C-17 Globemaster III during an all-day training exercise on June 7. The C-17 was flown in to Homestead to serve as a static trainer to prepare aerial porters for future deployments to Southwest Asia. It’s a big deal to have any Air Mobility Command aircraft come to Homestead to serve as a static trainer because the training will pay dividends for when we’re in the field, said Maj. Diana Echols, 70th APS commander. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Erik Hofmeyer)
