67 reservists return to Homestead

HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. – Tech. Sgt. Wilfredo Aguila, 482nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, is greeted after returning home after a deployment to Joint Base Balad, Iraq, on April 9. The 67 returning pilots and maintenance crews generated hundreds of close air support and surveillance and reconnaissance missions in support of U.S., Iraqi and Coalition ground forces working to stabilize the country. Thursday’s homecoming is part of a larger deployment package of almost 400 reservists who have rotated in and out of two locations in Iraq. The 482nd Fighter Wing’s current mission in Iraq is drawing to a close as over 100 Homestead reservists will return home in May and June. (U.S. Air Force photo)
