HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- CBS Sports commentator and former NFL star Shannon Sharpe gets an orientation flight with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds on Feb. 2. Sharpe was taken aloft by Lt. Col. Kevin Robbins, U.S. Air Force Demonstration Squadron commander. He and fellow CBS Sports commentator Boomer Esiason got to fly with the Thunderbirds. Their flights were featured during the pre-game show of Super Bowl XLI on Feb. 4. The Thunderbirds performed the pre-game flyover at the Superbowl at Miami’s Dolphin Stadium.
