Award Winner
In a moment reminiscent of his Army Air Assault days, Ryan Ayers shoots photos from the inside of a Customs and Border Protection Black Hawk helicopter during a recent training event. In addition to his focus on base chapel programs, he works as a student-hire in the 482nd Fighter Wing public affairs office. The student program allows him to pursue his master’s degree while remaining in touch with events on Homestead Air Reserve Base. Sergeant Ayers was recently awarded the 2006 AFRC Citizen Airman Outstanding Reserve Chaplain Assistant of the Year. (U.S. Air Force photo/Dan Galindo)
