ALERT BRIEF

Staff Sgt. Bill Ketelsen, an aircraft armament systems journeyman assigned to the Florida Air National Guard’s Detachment 1, 125th Fighter Wing, briefs Brazilian Air Force Commander Gen. Juniti Saito during a visit to Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., May 21. Gen Saito visited Homestead as part of a five-day tour of Air Force bases in the United States. During his short stop at Homestead the general received several briefings and toured the alert facility and saw F-15 fighter jets belonging to the Florida Air National Guard’s Detachment 1, 125th Fighter Wing. The general is the Brazilian counterpart to Gen. T. Michael Moseley, Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. General Saito is scheduled to visit the Pentagon during his trip to meet with General Moseley. The Brazilian Air Force inventory includes about 750 aircraft that are supported by more than 70,000 Airmen. Also pictured (left to right) are: Lt. Gen. Norman R. Seip, 12th Air Force Commander, Lt.
