Major Sean “THOR” Carpenter, an F-16 pilot assigned to the 93rd Fighter Squadron at Homestead Air Reserve Base, warms up at the driving range before the shotgun start of the 16th annual Chamber South Military Affairs Committee golf tournament at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club May 25. THOR won the long drive contest during the tournament by hitting a 295-yard drive. 57 military golfers from the local area played for free in the tournament thanks to local civic and business leaders who sponsored them.
