A Cluster and a Flag

Lt. Col. Luis Millares accepted command of the 482nd Fighter Wing Aircraft Maintenance Squadron in a ceremony here Aug. 5. The guidon was passed from 482nd Fighter Wing Maintenance Group Commander Col. T. Glenn Davis to Colonel Millares through Senior Master Sgt. Laurence Smith, acting first sergeant of the 482nd FW AMXS. Colonel Millares noted the number of changes in his life during the past year: two prior military commands and a change in his civilian career preceded his assumption of command of the AMXS. He thanked Colonel Davis for the opportunity to lead the maintenance squadron, mentoring from the group commander and offered maintenance Airmen a glimpse of the future: to build on strengths and accomplishments while working toward greater cohesiveness among all group units.
