Homestead reservist awarded Bronze Star
Tech. Sgt. Timothy Haffner (center), 482nd Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal journeyman, stands behind a Joint EOD Rapid Response Vehicle with his EOD team members during his six-month deployment to Iraq. Sergeant Haffner was awarded a Bronze Star for heroism after executing over 140 combat missions and spending over 3,000 hours diffusing improvised explosive devices and unexploded ordnance from roadways, clearing weapon caches and performing post-blast analysis missions.
