Homestead ARB has a ball
SMSgt William Tortolano, of The Air Force Strings plays violin for over 500 military and civilian personnel attending Homestead Air Reserve Base’s "Heritage to Horizons" Air Force ball, Nov. 2, 2007. Since 1954, The Air Force Strolling Strings has had the honor of performing at the White House for every president from Eisenhower to Clinton. The Air Force Strings is one of the most diverse and flexible units of The United States Air Force Band. The night’s event was part of a year long celebration commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the U.S. Air Force and recently deployed military members. The gala was co-hosted by the 482nd Fighter Wing, Homestead ARB, Fla., and the Greater Homestead/Florida City Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tim Norton)
