Florida ANG Airmen deliver gifts to children's hospital

Airmen from the Florida Air National Guard 125th Fighter Wing Alert Facility at Homestead Air Reserve Base, wanted to make the holidays a little brighter for kids staying at Miami Children’s Hospital by delivering toys and gifts Dec. 11. All full-time detachment personnel donated presents, and the detachment hopes to begin an annual tradition of donating to charities involving children during the holiday season. The 125th FW, based out of Jacksonville, Fla., operates the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) alert facility providing F-15 aircraft capable of intercepting, identifying, and if necessary, destroying unknown aircraft that penetrate U.S. airspace.
