Take Your Child to Work Day 2010

HOMESTEAD ARB, Fla -- Children of Servicemembers from all branches take part in Take Your Child to Work Day, Apr. 22. Several displays were set up near the flightline at Homestead Air Reserve Base. Included were Air Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal equipment, fire trucks from the base, a Coast Guard 25' response boat-small from the Maritime Safety and Security Team, Miami, and parachute demonstrations from Special Operations Command South. Pictured here, children learn about using a fire hose. Take Your Child to Work Day was founded in 1993 by the Ms. Foundation, originally to offer teenage girls exposure to career options and to help build their self-confidence.
