The 482nd Force Support Squadron was activated during the December Unit Training Assembly, and in turn deactivating the 482nd Services Squadron and the 482d Mission Support Squadron. The command of the newly formed FSS was assumed by Lt. Col. Larry Holbrook. Addressing the former squadrons that are now under the FSS, Lt. Co.l Holbrook said "You all have a great legacy to draw on. Assuming command of the FSS will be a smooth transition thanks in part to the great work done before hand. We will embrace this change and continue to do an outstanding job."
