July Mako Maintainer

Col. Donald Lindberg, 482nd Fighter Wing commander and Mr. Willie Eutsey, a 482nd Force Support Squadron civilian, conduct pre-flight inspections on an F-16 Fighting Falcon at Homestead Air Reserve Base, June 28, 2011. Mr. Eutsey is July's Mako Maintainer. The Mako Maintainer program gives Homestead ARB civilians who would not normally see flightline activity a chance to work with a crew chief to prepare a jet for launch. The program serves to instill in members that they are part of the team, and reward them for outstanding job performance. Mr. Eutsey works at the Falcon's Nest Club on base. While departing the flightline, he smiled and said "I want one, I want to fly one." (US Air Force photo/Mr. Ian Carrier)
