SOCSOUTH Warrior Challenge
Staff Sgt. Andrew Bailey (front) and Master Sgt. James Moad, Special Operations Command South communications specialists, sprint to the finish line after completing a 4.5 mile ruck march during the SOCSOUTH Warrior Challenge at Homestead Bayfront Park March 8. The challenge featured several physical fitness and military skills events such as a 4.5 mile run, weapons malfunction and assembly station, and 4.5 mile ruck march. The event consisted of 21 teams assigned to SOCSOUTH competing for bragging rights among the unit. The competition allowed for members of the command to enjoy a day of fun and help build its esprit de corps. The event ended with a command barbeque. (DOD photo by Army Capt.
