All base personnel and tenant units are welcome to attend the half-hour ceremony featuring a special performance by the base Honor Guard and a guest speaker. William Binger, 482nd Fighter Wing commander. Observances are held across the country on military installations, ships at sea, state capitols, schools and veterans' facilities. Also, POW/MIA National Recognition Day is one of a handful of days throughout the year that Congress has mandated the flying of the POW/MIA flag. Event tickets that include breakfast may be purchased in advance for $6.75 from the 482nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs Office.
