Binger, 482nd Fighter Wing commander announced the new unit vision and mission statements Sept. 26. Vision statement: "Dedicated Citizen Airmen providing premier global combat capabilities and regional humanitarian support to the joint warfighter." Mission statement: Provide ready, trained and equipped combat air power and agile combat support forces to the joint warfighter; provide ready on-call humanitarian support; provide quality programs, services and recognition to our Citizen Airmen. "My goal is to focus our efforts and provide a common goal/road map for our future. Our vision is enduring and to the point...our mission focuses on our operational and humanitarian missions, and our people", said Col. Binger. "I am confident all of our Citizen Airmen... that includes all civilians, contractors and full/part time military members, will be able to identify where they fit individually and where their organization fits into the larger picture", added Col. Binger.
