The 482nd Fighter Wing has kicked off the 2008 Combined Federal Campaign which runs from Oct. 1 - Dec. 15.

CFC is about opportunity: it's about doing good and touching the lives of others through your thoughtfulness, compassion, and generosity; it is about making a difference in your community, in your world; it's about being part of something much greater than yourselves; and it's about creating opportunities for people less fortunate than yourselves.

Last year, the 482nd FW contributed over $36,000 which was used to help support local and national charities. Your generous donations supported important humanitarian efforts such as health care for the needy, international food banks, disaster relief, education and aid to service members deployed worldwide.

This year our goal is $36,640. I ask for your continued support in Homestead's established great tradition of giving by repeating or even increasing your pledge this year - encourage others to do the same.

We want every individual to know about CFC and be offered the opportunity to contribute. If you have never given before, please make this the year to join your co-workers in giving opportunity to others.

If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact your Unit Key Workers or Base Coordinator, Veronica Sforza, at 305-224-7606. Also visit the Tri-County Treasure Coast CFC website.

Note: The Combined Federal Campaign is the only authorized solicitation of federal employees in their workplaces on behalf of approved charitable organizations.
