Tickets are now available for the Homestead/Florida City Military Affairs Committee's Annual Awards Banquet at the Falcon's Nest Club on March 14 at 7 p.m.

Peers, coworkers, friends and family are welcome to come out to congratulate the base's quarterly and annual award winners. The ceremonious event recognizes the outstanding military members of the year for all military units on Homestead Air Reserve Base to include the 482nd Fighter Wing, Det.1, 125th Fighter Wing of the Florida Air National Guard, Coast Guard's Maritime Safety and Security Team 91114, and Special Operations Command South.

This year's ceremony is expected to be just as entertaining and rewarding as last year.
Chief Master Sgt. Troy J. McIntosh, the Command Chief of the Air Force Reserve, will be the guest speaker. To add to the ambiance, the 482nd Security Forces Squadron's very own Staff. Sgt. Johnny Holliday will be performing the smooth sounds of jazz on his saxophone.

As for awards, the banquet is a different brand of a "stimulus" for the annual award recipients. Over $500 in tokens of appreciation were donated by Homestead and Florida City businesses for the annual award beneficiaries last year.

The event will be held on a Saturday of a Unit Training Assembly weekend for reservists who don't live locally and travel from out of town. The points of contact for tickets sales are: Mr. Tim Norton, 482nd FW and Medical Squadron; Capt. David Black, 482nd Maintenance Group; Mr. Chris Washington, Operations Group; and 2nd Lt. Sabrina Ura for the 482nd Mission Support Group.
