EOD Flight receives new Base Support Emergency Response Vehicle
HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. – The 482nd Civil Engineer Squadron’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight recently received a new addition to their arsenal of equipment used to safely disarm explosive ordnance. The “Base Support Emergency Response Vehicle” carries equipment such as bomb suits, robots, tools and anything EOD Flight members need to train or respond to explosives. Also, EOD technicians will now be able to train with the same trucks used by the active duty Air Force to prepare for future operations, said Master Sgt. James Raulerson, EOD Flight. Members of the flight continually deploy in support of operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and each mission they accomplish has life-saving consequences for U.S. and Coalition servicemembers.
