Twenty-eight Air Force Reservists assigned to the 482nd Security Forces Squadron returned home after completing a six-month deployment to Iraq

Members were greeted by extremely happy family and friends Monday night at Miami International Airport.  Among the returning Airmen were five new fathers, three of whom had not seen their babies yet.

The reservists mission was to provide security at Kirkuk Regional Air Base in Northern Iraq. They played an essential role by maintaining a safe and secure environment for thousands of U.S., Coalition and Iraqi troops; U.S. State Department Provisional Reconstruction Teams and civilian contractors housed and operating from the base.
