More than 40 servicemembers assigned to Special Operations Command South, stationed at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., participated in water survival training Oct. 28 in Cutler Bay, Fla. This training prepares these Paratroopers to prevent drowning while wearing their assigned equipment during an airborne operation over water. The training also taught the servicemembers how to properly escape a fully deployed parachute while underwater.
