Base to break ground on new dining facility Published Feb. 1, 2011 482nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- Very soon Homestead ARB will break ground on a much needed $7.6 million community activity center and troop feeding facility that will replace the current facility built in 1956. The project provides a modern, functional and energy efficient troop feeding facility for reserve and active duty staff assigned to Homestead ARB. The new facility will be capable of serving an average of 450 personnel per meal.
