Chief Master Sgt. Cameron Kirksey, Command Chief for the 482nd Fighter Wing, addresses the Noncommissioned Officer Leadership Development Course at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Dec. 5.

The objective of the course is to heighten the students' awareness of the dynamics of supervision and leadership in the workplace.

"I felt it was paramount that the class understood, from the Command Chief's perspective, the importance of the class and the learning opportunity that the class provides in laying/enhancing the foundation for successful leadership," said Chief Kirksey.

" Thusly, I wanted to personally welcome each of the students and say "Thank You" for taking a vested interest in their career by attending the class as well as share my expectations/goals/objectives, etc... for the academic session (classroom) and more importantly the application piece (post-graduation), whereby taking the information back to the respective work centers and applying it," he said.

In the future, the course will be mandatory to become an Air Force NCO.
