The Miami Marlins Energy Team and Billy the Marlin visited Homestead Air Reserve Base's Blazin Beans coffee shop to support servicemembers, Aug. 18.

Their third time visiting HARB, the Miami Marlin's Energy Team handed out free game tickets and fan paraphernalia such as water bottles, bags and player bobble-head dolls, while Billy Marlin entertained, posed for pictures, and shook hands.

"I love that they came out here to support us like this," said Petty Officer Nick Gomez, U.S. Coast Guard and Maritime Safety Security Team 91114, Electronic Technician. "It's not every day you get free Marlin's tickets and get to meet Billy the Marlin."

Base personnel from the 482nd Fighter Wing, U.S. Coast Guard, Special Operations Command South, and U. S. Customs and Border Protection Miami Air and Marine Branch participated in taking advantage of the fun-filled event.

"We're here to show support to our servicemembers and their families," said Mr. Larry Blocker, Miami Marlin's Director of Game Presentation and Events. "It's a pleasure to be able to give back to our nation's finest."
