Former vice commander selected for a star

WASHINGTON --  Former 482nd Fighter Wing vice commander Col. Jose Monteagudo was among 11 reservists nominated by the president to the rank of brigadier general.  The complete selection list as follows:

Air Force Col. Talentino C. Angelosante has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Angelosante is currently serving as the mobilization assistant to the director for resources assessment, J8, Headquarters U.S. Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii.

Air Force Col. James R. Barkley has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Barkley is currently serving as the mobilization assistant to the director of plans, programs and analyses, Headquarters U.S. Air Forces in Europe and U.S. Air Forces Africa, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

Air Force Col. Thomas G. Clark has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Clark is currently serving as the mobilization assistant to the commander, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.

Air Force Col. Michael J. Cole has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Cole is currently serving as the mobilization assistant to the director of operations, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, La.

Air Force Col. Samuel C. Mahaney has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Mahaney is currently serving as commander, Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center, Buckley Air Force Base, Colo.

Air Force Col. Brett J. McMullen has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. McMullen is currently serving as the mobilization assistant to the deputy assistant secretary for contracting, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Col. Jose R. Monteagudo has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Monteagudo is currently serving as the deputy director of operations, Headquarters U.S. Southern Command, Miami, Fla.

Air Force Col. Randall A. Ogden has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Ogden is currently serving as the mobilization assistant to the commander, 618th Air and Space Operations Center, Tanker Airlift Control Center, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

Air Force Col. Josef F. Schmid III has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Schmid is currently serving as the deputy joint staff surgeon and director of reserve medical readiness operations and affairs, Special Staff to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Col. John P. Stokes has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Stokes is currently serving as the mobilization assistant to the director, operational planning, policy and strategy, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Plans and Requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Air Force Col. Steven D. Vautrain has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Vautrain is currently serving as commander, 439th Airlift Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, Westover Air Reserve Base, Mass.
