Members plan Wingman Day for July UTA Published July 2, 2014 482nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- During the next Unit Training Assembly, members of the 482nd Fighter Wing will be attending a Wingman Day to accomplish essential training as well as conclude with a dinner of hotdogs and hamburgers July 12. The day will start out with a foreign object damage walk. The FOD walk will start on the transient alert ramp on the flight line side of building 702 (base operations), at 7:15 a.m. For those unfamiliar with these directions, this area is also the starting point for the physical fitness test 1.5 mile run. The uniform for the FOD walk is either Airman battle uniform/flight suit or Air Force physical training gear. After the mandatory FOD walk, unit-specific briefings will start at 9 a.m. and run through 11 a.m. Members are authorized to wear civilian attire/workout clothing to lunch and the commander's call. Lunch will be provided at the Community Activity Center from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Then, members need to be in place for a Wing Commander's Call at the CAC from 12:45 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. At the commander's call, there will be briefings to include Drug Demand Reduction, Sexual Assault Response Coordinator, Emergency Management, Safety, and Chaplain Services. Fun sports events are planned to kick-off after the commander's call and members will be released to attend activities like volleyball, basketball, softball or flag football.
