2014 CFC drive is underway
HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- The 482nd Fighter Wing recently kicked off its annual Combined Federal Campaign; the world's largest and most successful workplace giving campaign.
Since the first campaign in 1964, federal employees have donated more than $7 billion for the charities and causes that are near and dear to them. During the 2014 CFC solicitation period, please consider giving through the CFC because:
- Payroll deduction lets you spread your contribution across the entire year
- A CFC pledge gives your charity a steady source of revenue throughout the year
- It is convenient for you (in most cases, you can pledge online) and provides you with tax records
- It shows all Americans that federal employees care about our communities
CFC funds only go to the charities that you and your fellow federal employees designate. You can determine how much to contribute and which participating organization receives your contribution. Even the smallest donation can go a long way to making a difference in a needy person's life.
For the first time, donors have the option of giving to any of the more than 24,000 charities participating in the CFC, regardless of where they are located.
Very shortly wing personnel will be contacted by a key worker and asked to consider making a gift through the CFC. Participation in the CFC is strictly voluntary - coercion is forbidden.
The 482nd FW drive will take place until Dec. 15 with a goal of $23,000.
