The Eagle Eyes program is an Air Force anti-terrorism initiative that enlists the eyes and ears of Air Force members and citizens in the fight against terrorism.

Eagle Eyes aims to equip people with knowledge about typical activities terrorists engage in to plan their attacks. Armed with this information, anyone can recognize elements of potential terror planning when they see it.

The program provides a network of local, 24/7 phone numbers to call whenever a suspicious activity is observed. Everyone is encouraged to learn the categories of suspicious behavior and stay attuned to their surroundings. If you observe something suspicious, call 786-415-7900 or 1-877-246-1453. You can also send a message to Crimebusters link or alert local authorities.

In addition to these resources, Air Force Office of Special Investigations has an anonymous tip line that allows submissions from the Internet, via SMS (texting) or using a smartphone app. The app also allows for agents to request more information from the concerned tipster without jeopardizing the tipster's anonymity. All three avenues allow the tipster to check on the results of their tips.

Anonymous Internet tip line can be accessed at:  https://www.tipsubmit.com/WebTips.aspx?AgencyID=1111

Individuals can find the app in the Google playstore as well as the Apple app store by searching TipSubmit Mobile and select AFOSI as the agency. They can also send in tips by texting 'AFOSI' and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES).

Eagle Eye Tips from OSI:

- Practice awareness, report suspicious activity and other personal security measures are all ways to make you a harder target. Someone who has poor situational awareness and is predictable is a soft target.

- Don't post details about deployments on social media sites and educate your dependents not to post that information as well.

- Remain vigilant and if you see anything suspicious at home or in your neighborhood call 911 and then follow up with Office of Special Investigation on base.

Due to recent violence and threats to the lives of Americans, everyone is urged to be on guard of possible threats.

If you notice suspicious activity call 911, Eagle Eyes at 786-415-7900, or antiterrorism at 786-415-7992.
