HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- The 482d Fighter Wing held two ceremonies in Hangar 200 on Sept. 5, 2025, marking key leadership transitions within the wing’s operations group.
The first event was a change of command for the 93d Fighter Squadron. Lt. Col. Jeffrey Goode relinquished command to Lt. Col. Evan Erickson, who will now lead the squadron of F-16 pilots, maintainers, and support personnel tasked with executing the wing’s combat mission.
Immediately following, the 482d Operations Support Squadron held an assumption of command ceremony. Lt. Col. Logan Brewer assumed command of the squadron, which provides essential support to flying operations, including airfield management, intelligence, training, and life support functions.
Col. Tavis Powell, 482d Fighter Wing deputy commander, presided over both ceremonies attended by family, friends, and members of Team Homestead.
“What an amazing day to witness the transfer of the baton in both the 93d Fighter Squadron and the 482d OSS,” Powell said. “Lt. Col. Goode has absolutely crushed his command tour at the 93d, and I have every faith that Lt. Col. Erickson will do the same. Lt. Col. Brewer is absolutely the right guy to take the reins at the OSS, and he follows an incredible leader in that role, Lt. Col. Killham. I feel fortunate to be a part of this momentous event.”
