HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- Homestead Air Reserve Base has declared HURCON IV. HURCON IV indicates surface winds in excess of 58 mph (50 knots) could arrive within 72 hours. Tropical Storm Ian is expected to approach the base in 72 hours. HARB members should monitor and take local actions to prepare as watches and warnings are issued.
