HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- As the 482nd Fighter Wing continues to monitor the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control and receives guidance from the DOD, we are pursuing ways to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. To this end, we are implementing preventive measures for the continued health and well-being of our Homestead community.
Effective March 18, 2020, the following changes for the 482nd Force Support Squadron facilities are in effect:
The Sam Johnson Fitness Center
The Fitness Center will be closed. All classes and intramural sports are postponed until further notice. The use of all workout equipment is strictly prohibited and 24-hour access is revoked until further notice. For those who choose to workout outside, the showers in both locker rooms will remain open from 0600-2000 hours. Please contact the fitness center staff at the below number for further information.

The Community Activity Center
The CAC will offer take-out service only. Customers will have the opportunity to select a hot entrée and/or food from the sandwich line menu. Please note, Thursday ‘Steak Night’ and bar service have been postponed until further notice. Please contact the CAC staff below for further information.

Outdoor Recreation
Until further notice, all R4R events have been postponed, to include the March 28th Go-Cart event. However, ODR remains open for rentals and the storage lot. Please contact the ODR staff at the below number for further information.

The Blazin’ Beanz, official mail room, hair salon and DEERS office will remain open for business as usual.
Military Fitness Assessments
For military members whose fitness assessments are due, they will be EXEMPT until further notice. Once assessments resume, members who would otherwise be non-current, will have 42-days to complete the assessment to become compliant.
