Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis announced today that the president has made the following nomination: Air Force Col. David P. Garfield has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Garfield is currently serving as the commander, 482nd Fighter Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida.
