Colonel Kyle W. Hosman

Col. Kyle Hosman is Commander, 482nd Maintenance Group, 482d Fighter Wing, Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla. Hosman serves as the senior air reserve technician, ensuring the readiness of over 650 Air Force Reservists, active duty, and civilian members. The maintenance group’s mission is to ensure the air worthiness and combat mission readiness of 28 F-16C aircraft, supporting the wing’s air combat and tactical training mission.

Col. Hosman enlisted in the Air Force in 1989. In 1998, he graduated from California State University in Chico and in 2000 he entered officer training school. Hosman has held numerous positions as an aircraft and munitions maintenance officer and commanded at the squadron and group levels. Prior to his current position, the colonel served as Chief of Air Force Reserve Protection Program Integration, Headquarters Air Force at the Pentagon.   

Col. Hosman has deployed in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Inherent Resolve, and Freedom’s Sentinel.
