Homestead ARB to hold base-wide exercise March 8-11

482nd Security Forces Squadron members build a defensive fighting position in preparation for the upcoming Operational Readiness Exercise set for March 8-11 at Homestead Air Reserve Base. An ORE is a self-assessment of the wing’s ability to perform in a simulated combat environment. Explosive devices, smoke grenades and sirens will be used during the exercise to create realistic scenarios that reservists will encounter during the exercise. “Homestead Air Reserve Base goes to great lengths to ensure safety procedures are established and followed during exercises to prepare our reservists for deployment,” said Mr. Sean Quinn, 482nd Mission Support Group Emergency Management Office.
