Homestead Air Reserve Base's Detachment 93, 495th Fighter Group, will host a barbecue June 1, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the parking lot of building 194. All Homestead ARB personnel are invited to attend. The menu will feature hamburgers, bratwurst, chips and soda. 1 sandwich plate for $5 includes hamburger or bratwurst with chips and soda. 2 sandwich plate for $8 includes hamburger or bratwurst or combo for total of 2 with chips and soda. Homestead Air Reserve Base will hold its 8th Annual Hauntfest Oct. 31 on base, at the Community Activity Center (Building 400) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Come dressed in your favorite costumes. The Hauntfest is free admission to all Department of Defense ID card holders and guests and features hayrides, trick or treating, carnival games, face painting, music and dancing and other fun activities for all ages.
