Base prepares for haunted festival

Homestead Air Reserve Base will host its Third Annual Haunted Festival and Community Carnival behind the Falcons Nest Club on Oct. 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event is open to all Department of Defense employees, military members, contractors and their families.

All entertainment is free and will feature carnival style games for trick or treaters, a Sci-Fi themed haunted house, hayride and music for all ages. The Falcons Nest Club will offer evening meals and beverages at reasonable prices

Non-DOD or military guests may attend as a sponsored guest by a military or DOD sponsor. Costumes are not mandatory but encouraged, however masks cannot be worn when entering the base for security reasons.
